Although Hurricanes come in a variety of categories – planning for the worst is always the best

As you will note in the this guide, hurricanes come in distinct categories of strength and while it is important to know the differences, it is more important to always ensure your disaster planning treats each incident as though it is a category 5 coming.

Time and time again as we descend on the wreckage and assess the aftermath of one of natures perfect storms, we find that a lack of preparation and understanding of the effects of these disasters has lead to increased loss of life and damage that could have otherwise been prevented.

When dealing with the logistics of preparing for a natural disaster like a hurricane, the old adage, plan for the worst is still the best advice.
